5 Reasons to Consider Airbnb for your Next Holiday Trip
My friend introduced the concept of Airbnb to me when we visited Bali. Our hotel booking got double booked meaning we were out of a hotel room due to some reason and we were looking for a place to stay. We logged into the site and within a few minutes, we found a beautiful house surrounded by greenery. The price was a bit higher than our hotel room, but again it was a big house with all the facilities compared to a cramped hotel room. Ever since I always consider Airbnb before going to hotels. Here are the top 5 reasons you should consider Airbnb in your next travel.
The Feeling of Home away from Home
My first stay in an Airbnb in Bali was the most memorable. The owners of the house had maintained it exceptionally well. It had a swimming pool, a kitchen with all the utensils and gas – which was great because I love cooking, 3 bedrooms, a beautiful garden, and a terrace that oversaw the city below. During our stay in Bali, we never felt we were away from home, It was great.
Whenever visiting a new place, it is always helpful to have a guide or someone who can help you pick the best locations to visit. The owners of the house Gusti and Tjokorda were very welcoming. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, bringing us food every now and then, recommending places to visit, and so on. The most beautiful part of my travelling is meeting new people. Airbnb allows you to make connections that sometimes last a lifetime.
Location of Your Stay
Unlike hotels, Airbnb registered houses can be anywhere from city to suburbs. When visiting a place like Bali, you are obviously not going there to see towering skyscrapers. The best way to stay close to nature is by renting a house of your choosing.
Space and Price
A hotel room any day will be more expensive than a house rented through Airbnb. The price for even a low budget hotel room can go in hundreds of dollars, whereas through Airbnb, you can book an entire house for the same amount if not less. You can also view the best deals on the Airbnb website and choose the one that best fits your budget.
We did not get the early morning breakfast brought to our room like a hotel. However, we were very frequently invited by the owner’s of the house for lunch and dinner, who were our neighbours. We tried the local dishes, an experience we would have missed if we stayed in a hotel.
Staying in a house rented through Airbnb is the most fun way of spending a vacation abroad or within your country. You get to meet new people, have the unique opportunity to experience the country, save money, and more. What I recommend to any of my friends is when it comes to travelling season always look on Airbnb, I ended up using it last year and it ended up saving me $500 when I visited California last year. The whole process won’t take any more than 5 minutes and it could save you a good buck.
